Reference Letters

Below is a collection of five reference letters I have received from clients that I represented as the buying agent, selling agent, or dual agent.

Major & Mrs. Carlsen 2001, Buying Agent
You had the ability to make me feel that I was the most important client that you had. Your frequent e-mails with house listings and pictures attached almost made me feel like I was actively house hunting even though I was 1000 miles away in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. It is very clear that you are very comfortable working with people from out of town. You can be sure that you will be representing our interests when it comes time to selling our home. With great respect to your motivation and talent-we know that any house you are representing will not be on the market long.
| Col. David Smith 2002, Selling Agent
When market conditions prevented a sale during the summer of 1999, Barbara secured a rental tenant and managed the property for two years. She expertly handled issues involving repairs and ensured that damage caused during one of the moves out of the property was repaired at the expense of the moving company. Recently, as my real estate agent she worked aggressively to secure a buyer and to correct any other minor deficiencies in the property. Since I am stationed literally on the other side of the world in Japan, I have depended upon her to represent my best interests which she has done without fail. Without her tireless efforts, the sale of my home would have been much more difficult and costly. It has been my distinct pleasure to have worked with her as my real estate agent and property manager. She has my unequivocal recommendation.
| Major & Mrs. Michael Sullivan 2001, Dual Agent
We recently purchased our first home in the Fayetteville area. We talked with several different realtors before we found Barbara. She was the most knowledgeable and one of the best. Barbara was extremely accommodating to our schedules and was willing to show us houses wherever and whenever it was it was most convenient to us. Throughout our house hunting campaign we must have seen over twenty five houses. She made us aware of many things that we would not have thought about such as placement of furniture due to wall spacing and how the house flowed. In the end she knew she had the perfect listing and asked that we take a quick look. Right away we knew we wanted the house. Even though Barbara was a Dual Agent she was extremely fair for both us and the Seller and we soon realized that it was easier having a dual-agent because of the line of communication being shorter cutting out the middleman. We are extremely satisfied with Barbara and will recommend her to our friends. In fact, Barbara will be the first person we contact when we go to sell our home.
| Major & Mrs. Todd Armsworth 2001, Buying Agent
Recently, my family embarked on perhaps the most important purchase we will make, buying a home. We moved here from Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and we met our realtor, Barbara Compton, there. Barbara provided us information not only about the housing market but also about the demographics of different neighborhoods, good and not so good schools, and distances to major destinations in the area. She has a wealth of knowledge in all of these subjects. We would recommend her to our peers, our friends, and family.
| Major & Mrs. Martin Carroll 2002, Buying Agent
Being a first time buyer of a home and coming to Fayetteville for the first time in my career from the Command and General Staff College, I was completely lost as to where I should look for a home for my family. I met Barbara Compton at a Real Estate Fair at Ft. Leavenworth in January 2000 and all my anxiety was gone. Barbara completely understood my needs and the needs of my family. We talked about locations, schools and prices and Barbara understood all of my families needs. Our family was able to travel to Fayetteville in April 2000 and we quickly met with Barbara who took my whole family out to look at homes. Our time was limited, only a couple of days to look, but Barbara knew our limitations and was prepared, taking us to homes that we previously inquired about and only looking at homes in the areas we were interested in. Our closing on the home could not have been easier. Barbara had set up the whole thing and all we did was show up and sign the papers. Our experience in buying our first home could not have been better, and all this was due to Barbara Compton. I highly recommend Barbara Compton to anyone coming to Fayetteville, Ft. Bragg or Pope AFB.
